Personal Chef, Koji Murakami, was born in Japan, Kumamoto in 1971 and went to Tsuji Culinary Institute in Osaka after graduating high school.
He worked for 4 years at KITCHO, a world class Japanese KAISEKI (course style) restaurant serving celebrities, and diplomats. (1991~1995)
While at KITCHO, he was chosen to be an executive chef at Embassy of Japan in Washington DC for Ambassador Kunihiko Saito.(1995~1999) At the Residence of Japanese Ambassador, Koji had the priviledge of preparing elegant dinners for many distinguished guests.
After he completed his mission in DC, he and his wife relocated to San Francisco and became the Executive Chef at a San Francisco Japanese Restaurant. (1999~)
Luna Murakami is the Co-owner, Manager, and Executive Hostess for Renge Kitchen. She advance client consultation and hospitality for clients and their guests throughout dining events.
She started her career at Kitcho in Tokyo, Japan. There she learned how to serve and cater traditional Japanese Cuisine. Her experience at Kitcho launched her love for the service and hospitality industry.
Afterward, Luna took a position as the kitchen assistant at the Embassy of Japan in Washington DC and also worked at San Francisco as a special waitress for Koji's Kaiseki menu.
As other business owner (Dog grooming, Massage Therapist), Luna maintain separate businesses in diverse areas of expertise.
